Dunno about what'll happen in Fable 2, though...it's a bit more open-ended, and could be a bit more messy.

That said, not being able to kill kids doesn't really harm my immersion in the game. There's plenty of other innocent people getting killed, and that's "good" enough for me.

The first fable game avoided this by having the city with a school and with children in one where your weapons are confisicated until you leave. Killing children just gives the game a unecessary high age rating and would end up causing alot of controversy.

Not everyone wants to see children die even in a game for no reason. May be it would be slightly realistic but it would put alot more people off from playing the game or the PVE aspect if they're going to see other players killing children for no reason or for fun.

Well in Deux ex 2 you can kill children suprisingly, and its rated as mature.

I dont see what makes killing kids so much diffrent from adults to be honest. But i dont think guild wars pre-peared for it

I doubt we can expect to see that. Dragon Age might have kids being harmed, though, because unlike ArenaNet, the devs at BioWare Corp are unafraid.

By the way, if you max out your physical attributes in Fable you can beat and kick children to death, in Bowerstone. They take away your weapons and prevent spells, but with high enough physical attributes you can do damage with your bare hands. You can also kill all the guards, citizens, the mayor... just takes a bit of time, but hilarious to do.

What would be the point? Satisfying people who are too lazy to go look at porn? Bare breasts =/= maturity, especially if it's for the audience that calls them "boobies" (no offense to you intended).

Take a look at Jade Empire, where you can have a homosexual romance (or lesbian, depending on gender). Now there's something still largely taboo that many fools (notably a lot of conservatives, although I guess you can figure that out from the word fools, since it means roughly the same thing) and that most devs are afraid to suffer the flak of. Note that Jade Empire does NOT devolve itself into satisfying little kids who get overly excited at the sight of nudity. Y'can ask the developers at the BioWare forums (they post there regularly) for a similar answer :P
